Fonds consists of the personal and professional records of Greg Curnoe. It includes such textual documentation as writing files; correspondence; project files including grant applications, records of the National Gallery retrospective exhibition, and Curnoe’s published writings; notebooks and journals kept by the artist, including his cycling journals; and a number of bookworks. Visual material includes numerous sketchbooks and works on paper as well as extensive photographic documentation of Curnoe’s studio, social and professional activities, exhibitions, family life, and art work. Also included are printing blocks and rubber stamps used in Curnoe’s art making. The fonds contains audio and audiovisual material which records important events and ideas in Curnoe’s life. The fonds includes two pop culture collections relating closely to Curnoe’s art practice: his collection of buttons and his collection of regional pop bottles. This fonds consists of photographs and various textual material.

The fonds includes correspondence, newspaper and magazine clippings, photographs, drawings, poems, notes and memorabilia relating to Helen Sanderson’s student days at the Ontario College of Art and subsequent teaching career. Many of these were pasted into a scrapbook, entitled ‘Art School Days’, forming a distinctive memoir of student life in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The fonds is arranged in a single series.

Collection consists of a four-volume set of proof engravings by Henry Sandham for his illustrations in Century Magazine and other publications. The engravings were assembled by the artist, who inscribed in ink on the title page of volume 1: “The only complete set of proofs of the engravings from Hy Sandham’s drawings for Century Magazine from 1881 to 1886. These proofs were printed from the blocks before they were electro-typed and cannot now be reproduced except by being engraved again. The cost of each print in this book was fifty cents. Hy. S.”

File consists of a two-page typed, annotated history of Muirhead Stationers Limited. This history was most likely written by an employee at Muirhead Stationers.

Fonds consists of correspondence, sketches, exhibition notices and posters, press clippings, photographs, financial records, and artefacts relating to Iain Baxter’s career as an artist and university instructor. It includes records of the N.E. Thing Company, the Eye Scream Restaurant, and later solo work by Baxter. Also included are records of Baxter’s employment by Labatt’s Canada as Creative Consultant, and of his collaborations with Louise Chance Baxter.

Series consists of an annotated colour computer printout of a photograph of the authors of the book the Inventory and Guide to Historic Buildings in Sudbury standing outside Laurentian University. The authors from left to right are Michael Kelly, Carmen Prevost, Cindy Mullally, Brenda Kelly, Patti Ann Trainor, and Michael A. Gorrie.

File consists of a colour, one page computer printout Grand Opening invitation for Querney's Office Plus. The date of the Grand Opening was listed as Thursday, October 21 2010 from 3 to 7pm at 67 Elm Street, Sudbury, Ontario. RSVP's requested prior to the event.

Colour slides depicting various sights in and around Sudbury in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Some of the slides are numbered suggesting they were part of a larger slideshow on Sudbury. Slides may have been collected to support claims related to the city expropriation of properties on Borgia Street in the 1960s. Slides were produced by various studios in Ontario.

Series consists of documents relating to Jacob Cooke’s property development business and includes correspondence, mortgage application questionnaires, National Housing Act specifications, materials and parts lists, receipts, Worker’s Compensation documents, purchase agreements, and cashed cheques. Series includes an operator’s manual for 1941 Chevrolet and Maple Leaf trucks.
